The Nepalese tourism industry is slowly recovering from the impact of COVID-19. In the first four months of 2023, 326,528 foreign visitors arrived in Nepal, a significant increase from 140,336 during the same period in 2022.

The spring season is the prime time for mountain climbing in Nepal, and in the first three months of 2023, 2,475 foreign tourists have arrived for the Annapurna circuit trek. Out of the total, 1,678 were male and 797 were female, and an average of 40 to 50 tourists arrive in the ACAP area every day.
