Serene Vibrancy at Temple Tiger Green Jungle Resort

Chitwan, situated at the base of the Himalayas, boasts a plethora of flora and fauna, and is home to the last populations of Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tigers. Chitwan National Park, located in the mid Terai region of Nepal, is an extensive and diverse landscape spanning 932 km2 (360 sq mi). A visit to this incredible national park is a must-do when in Nepal.

Established in 1973 as Nepal's first National Park, Chitwan National Park (CNP) was previously known as Royal Chitwan National Park, and was granted World Heritage Site status in 1984. The Narayani-Rapti river system forms a natural boundary to human settlements in the north and west of the park's protected area. The park is the last surviving example of the natural ecosystems of the Terai region, which covers subtropical lowland wedged between two east-west river valleys at the base of the Siwalik range of the outer Himalayas. Many species of birds, crocodiles, rhinos, sloth bears, tigers (although rarely seen), and monkeys can be found in the park. Domesticated elephants used for taking tourists on sightseeing excursions can also be seen walking through the village.

The Temple Tiger Green Jungle Resort is situated in Amaltarighat near the Narayani River and is conveniently located within a short boat ride from the Chitwan National Park. The resort was established in 1989 and is considered to be a pioneer in Nepal's wildlife tourism. It is surrounded by lush greenery, offering visitors the best jungle wilderness experience in close proximity to the Tharu and Bote villages. The resort features 20 air-conditioned villas, each with a private balcony providing stunning views of the Chitwan National Park, the nearby Bote villages, and the Narayani River. The layout of the resort has been designed to resemble a traditional jungle safari resort.
