The Chinese government added Nepal to its list of approved destinations for its citizens, and travel agencies started offering packages for Nepal visits from March 15. In March, Nepal welcomed 42,006 tourists from different countries, while in January and February, the number of visitors to Nepal was 16,975 and 19,766, respectively.
