Travelers Love Temple Tiger

In the world of tourism industry, the fast-flowing trends with ever-changing tourist hotspots nothing is predictable. However, in wildlife tourism one thing is undisputed, Temple Tiger has always been at the forefront of Wildlife Tourism in Nepal.

Temple Tiger Green Jungle Resort is touted as one of the best wildlife resorts in the country. With over 35 years of experience in wildlife having more than 400 years of combined staff experience, anything we do or provide is world-class and our guests expect no less.  Green Jungle Resort is a perfect place for travelers seeking an enjoyable family holiday trip, Eco-tourism, sustainable tourism, wildlife tourism, and a peaceful serine environment. All these aspects which are based on nature and sustainability and our core values which we have been practicing from the beginning itself.

Our premium quality resort with modern amenities and star class Villas have made Green Jungle Resort an instant hit amongst tourists and travelers. With its proximity to Chitwan National Park has made it as one of the best Resorts in the country if not in the world. This has been the case since the early days when we were located inside the Chitwan National Park as Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge.  In the 80s and 90s, Nepal was known as an Africa of Asia and Temple Tiger was always on the tip of the spear with our Resort, wildlife activities and conservation efforts.  Nepal was on a global tourism map as a tourist destination for a long-long time and the resort inside the National Park, jungle activities and experience of the guests put Nepal on the global map as the pioneer in wildlife tourism.

The fantasy of the Jungle, and fascinating stories from visitors about the wildlife activities in Nepal lured other travelers around the world eager to visit Chitwan. Chitwan National Park saw a long list of high-profile people from around the globe visit for its Wildlife adventures. From Hillary Clinton to Prince Philip, and many celebrities, the list can go on and on.  Even after 50 Years of wildlife tourism in Nepal, the Chitwan National Park still holds a special place in the hearts and minds of travelers with fond memories they have experienced at Temple Tiger.

The situation has changed now and all the Lodges are forced outside the Park, including Temple Tiger. At present we are still in the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park trying to capture the essence of the Lodge in our present Green Jungle Resort.  It still feels and resembles the Lodge from the Park as we have made sure that there is plenty of jungle around us so the guests do not feel the difference. At the core, we are still the same Lodge that you loved, having the same determination which still drives us every day. All our programs are still conducted inside the park without fail and we have worked hard to make sure that our services and wildlife activities retain the same quality after all these years.

The same can be seen in our TripAdvisor reviews and Google Business reviews. The travelers have loved our new location and we have managed to retain our quality of service all these years. We have had a constant 4.5-star rating on TripAdvisor while we were 5 stars for a brief period of time. The guests have rated our Location at 4.7, Cleanliness at 4.3, Service at 4.6, and Value at 4.5.  As of this writing, we are still ranked as the No.1 Resort in the Chitwan National Park on TripAdvisor site.

The Green Jungle Resort, albeit outside the National Park, has not lost its charm. It still has a small jungle surrounding it, and it still is constructed in a similar style to the old Lodge. Moreover, the architecture and interiors of our resort seamlessly blend with the jungle. The architecture includes the use of local bamboo, sustainable wood in furnishing, and decoration highlighted with elegant interiors. All the materials are sourced locally and are environment-friendly. The resort is plastic free and everything we do inside is done keeping the environment in mind.  90 percent of our staff are from the local community and all the food that we prepare either comes from our own organic vegetable garden inside the resort or from the local Tharu community nearby. In recognition to our contribution on conservation and sustainable tourism, we have been awarded BEST GREEN RESORT OF THE YEAR 2000 by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association, Tourism for Tomorrow award by British Airways – 2001, and Several Letters of Appreciation have been awarded to us by WWF International and ARC.

All in all, we are exquisitely happy with the position that we are right now and we look forward to improving more.
